Eurovision Fever
Once a year my sister and I dedicate ourselves to the one true event that makes us feel like one of the exotic creatures of Europe: Eurovision. My passion for the competition has grown so much so that I fight the strong urge to physically assault any uncultured soul who dares to ask me "what's that???"
It's not until the past year or two that Eurovision has become a popular thing to watch in Australia, but as always I claim to have been on the band wagon before the band wagon ever existed.
Why would I want to watch a singing contest full of performances that include extremely poor English, languages I don't speak and more cheese than a family value pack of cheese balls you ask? (nom)
Well...there's this for starters

But then there's these... the songs that swim around in your head for weeks on end no matter what language it's in and make you convinced that good lyrics which include all the right tenses, conjunctions and correctly used adjectives aren't a necessity to life:
There's nothing like the unity of music that brings people from all cultures, political persuasions and backgrounds together in spectacular forms of dramatic performance and lights. I love to hear the cultural influences of different sounds, instruments and costumes in each song as well as being able to uncontrollably laugh at the terrible attempts of lyrics written in English and woeful excuses for pop songs.
I Cannot WAIT to go to Europe!!
